Overview

oneAPI is an industry initiative to create a single, unified, cross-architecture programming model for CPUs and accelerator architectures. Based on industry standards and its open development approach, the initiative will help streamline software development for high performance computers, increase performance and provide specifications for efficient and diverse architecture programming.

In the oneAPI Center of Excellence, Intel teams up with the Innovative Computing Lab to spearhead the development of numerical linear algebra functionality in the oneAPI ecosystem by deploying SYCL kernels in the Ginkgo linear algebra library. This allows running Ginkgo and applications that use Ginkgo’s functionality on any hardware supporting the oneAPI industry standard, including Intel high performance GPUs that are powering the Aurora supercomputer.
